Well, that was not very enjoyable to watch.
It's one thing for Vikings fans to watch their favorite team get smacked around by the Packers at Lambeau Field. We're kind of used to that.
But to get smacked around at home to their main rivals in the Metrodome – to the point where the Packers can bring in Matt Flynn into the game – is a knockout blow for any Viking fan who thought this season held out any hope.
So another miserable performance by the Vikings, and as with any miserable performance it required a total team effort to pull it off.
Offence, defence, special teams, coaching – no matter what player, coach or unit you could choose to focus on, no one in the Vikings organization will be proud of what they did in this game.
The collapse is astounding: in just 10 games the Minnesota Vikings have gone from a Super Bowl contender to a team jostling for position to get a top five pick in April's 2011 NFL draft.
The Vikings haven't reached the level of the Carolina Panthers yet. But after watching their play against Green Bay in this game, they are clearing working on it.
For those Vikings fans out there who still care, I'd love to hear where we go from here.
Fire Childress Immediately???

The Access Vikings blog reports Brad Childress has been fired.

childress needs to go, he has single handly caused this entire sorry state, 1. the draft this year, true chilly has done well in other years, but when you win the need goes up too, he passes on javid best and colt MocCoy, both guys have proven talent and would of been excellent, letting chester taylor go for no reason, everyone knew his value, they could of tagged him, our backs as a whole haven't protected favre, 3. favre himself, after the ankle injury he didn't want to play, childress banged down the door double his pay4. refusal to atler the roster, week 1 4 wrs on the depth chart, trading sage rosenfields, o-line lacking depth, d-line overload, seconndary short coming, 5. the moss trade, your owner gets the guy, everyone is excited, he calls chilly out for a sucky game at best, and chilly releases him without talking it out with even his own coaches, 6. lossing the locker room, you give no emotion, you get no emotion, this team quite when they released moss, chilly lied about the guy and the locker room has been out spoken about there mistrust about childress. 7. i could rip him to pieces about the nfc championship game, but i won't, the bottom line, childress has taken a 12-4 team and turned it into a bottom 5 team, any owner would fire their coach after that, zigy has to do it, they had one shot, chilly blew it, and wasted what life favre had left, time to go,
